The five Leeds areas where Covid infections have reached triple digits in the last week

The number of coronavirus cases in Leeds continues to rise by hundreds every day, with infection numbers reaching triple digits in five city neighbourhoods.

There were 363.1 cases per 100,000 people in the latest seven days to October 9, the latest date for which reliable data is available. During this time 2,880 people in the city were diagnosed with coronavirus, an average of 411 new cases every day.

Leeds has been placed into Tier 2 on the Government’s coronavirus alert system, which bans households mixing indoors, including in public indoor settings. Here are the worst-affected areas. Images are for illustrative purposes only.
