Official Government figures show that since mid-January the rate of positive Covid cases per 100,000 people in Leeds has been falling. On Tuesday, the Leeds case rate broke the 100 barrier and was down to 98.3 cases per 100,000 people. The city has now been in lockdown for over two months, but figures show 22 out of 107 neighbourhoods have seen a rise in new infections. Otley North has seen rates of positive Covid cases rise by 167 per cent, from 48.8 to 130.2 cases per 100,000 people.
8. Osmondthorpe and Neville Hill
Osmondthorpe and Neville Hill has seen rates of positive Covid cases rise by 133 per cent, from 49.0 to 114.4 cases per 100,000 people.
9. Hyde Park
Hyde Park has seen rates of positive Covid cases rise by 120 per cent, from 59.1 to 129.9 cases per 100,000 people.
10. Rodley and Stanningley Park
Rodley and Stanningley Park has seen rates of positive Covid cases rise by 86 per cent, from 115.7 to 214.8 cases per 100,000 people.
11. Woodhouse and Little London
Woodhouse and Little London has seen rates of positive Covid cases rise by 80 per cent, from 37.7 to 67.9 cases per 100,000 people.
12. Wetherby East and Thorp Arch
Wetherby East and Thorp Arch has seen rates of positive Covid cases rise by 55 per cent, from 441.0 to 682.9 cases per 100,000 people. This is due to an outbreak of coronavirus at HMP Wealstun prison.
