The Leeds areas where Covid cases have doubled or tripled in the last week

The coronavirus infection rate is showing a positive downward trend in Leeds.

There were 137.9 new cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to December 6, down from 165.8 the previous week. Leeds City Council is hopeful the city will be moved down to Tier 2 measures when the tier system is reviewed next week. But the latest Government figures show the coronavirus infection rate is rising in some Leeds neighbourhoods. These are the six Leeds areas where the number of new Covid cases more than doubled in the seven days to December 5, the latest available figures, followed by the areas where the number increased by more than 50 per cent.
