The YEP is celebrating health workers across Leeds, who are the very front line of keeping our nation safe during the coronavirus crisis.

Andy said: "The midwives in the postnatal ward had their hands full. They were run off their feet, but provided fantastic support the whole time.

"We couldn't have been looked after better. The support was second to none. The midwife team were amazing and the doctors and anesthetists were incredible.

"I was only allowed to be with the baby and Chloe for a couple of hours and then I had to go home again."

Andy said Chloe was one of 12 mums on the postnatal ward before she was discharged at around 4pm on Tuesday March 31.

Andy said: "Under these crazy circumstances and times there are daily changes for them (health staff). They just get on with it.

"There is huge attention to detail with hygiene. They just sailed through as if nothing was too much for them.

"You wouldn't have known there was a viral epidemic going on because of how positively they handled it and how super vigilant they were with their hygiene and overall care.
