There has been one confirmed coronavirus death in Yorkshire hospitals, the latest figures have announced.

NHS England data released on Sunday, September 6 confirmed that a person has died after testing positive for Covid-19 in a hospital in Bradford.

They died on Friday, September 4.

Two other people died outside the region.

One person died in hospitals under the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and one person died in hospitals under the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Patients were aged between 69 and 89 years old

All had known underlying health conditions.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England is 29,607.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
