NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every new coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England.

There have been no new deaths recorded at Leeds hospitals in the last four reporting periods, from 5pm on Saturday, May 23 to 5pm on Wednesday, May 27.

Across Yorkshire, a further 17 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in the latest NHS England update.

It brings the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the region's hospitals to 2,466.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has reported the highest total number of coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire, 302, followed by Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust with 267 Covid-19 deaths and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with 263 deaths.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:
