No new coronavirus deaths at Leeds hospitals as locations of Yorkshire deaths released

A further nine coronavirus deaths have been recorded at hospitals in Yorkshire, the latest figures have revealed.

It brings the total number of Covid-19 deaths at Yorkshire's hospitals to 2,764

No new deaths were recorded at Leeds hospitals.

The total still stands at 320.

The NHS England data reflects deaths from the latest reporting period from 5pm on Tuesday, June 15 to 5pm on Wednesday, June 16.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:

DONCASTER AND BASSETLAW TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST - 1

HULL UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS TRUST - 2

SHEFFIELD CHILDREN'S NHS FOUNDATION TRUST - 1

SHEFFIELD TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST - 1

SOUTH TEES HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST - 1
