New rapid Covid-19 testing site to open at Leeds Bradford Airport providing Fit to Fly certificates

The new testing centre will provide 'Fit to Fly' certificates for travellers who have to prove they do not have Covid-19 before they are allowed in certain countries.
It will also provide a 'Test to Release' scheme for people who want to exit self-isolation.

Hide AdThis means travellers can finish quarantining after five days instead of the usual ten, providing the test comes back negative.
However, people who have been in a country on red list' will not be able to use the service and will need to quarantine in a government approved hotel.
The service, which is run by the NPH Group, will also offer rapid antigen testing for people who need to travel to the Netherlands.
Under current UK COVID-19 restrictions, people must stay at home and not travel unless they are legally permitted reason to do so.

Hide AdIt is currently illegal to travel abroad for holidays and other leisure purposes.


The LBA testing site will also be offering general PCR testing for non-travel reasons for people in the local area.
The testing centre for PCR Fit to Fly, General PCR, and Test to Release is in the Viking Airport Parking Building.
Parking is free.
PCR test costs £110 per person and results are provided by email within 48 hours of the test date and time.

The Rapid Antigen testing facility is located in the main terminal building, next to Check In Hall A.
Passports are required to be taken to all appointments.
