The death takes the total toll in the city to 333.
Across Yorkshire, five new coronavirus deaths were recorded.
The total in the region now stands at 2822.
The deaths were recorded in the following areas:
Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust: 2
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 1
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust: 1
The Rotherham NHS Trust: 1
