A total of 1,010 people in Leeds have now tested positive for coronavirus, officials have confirmed.

The figure, accurate as of 12.30am today (Wednesday 22), is a rise of 52 cases since the same time on Tuesday.
It comes as the coronavirus death toll in Leeds hospitals rises to 143.
Meanwhile, more than 250 patients diagnosed with Covid-19 have been discharged from hospital in Leeds.
In Yorkshire, 400 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed by the Department of Health, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 7,682.

Hide AdSheffield is the worst-hit local authority area with 1,746 cases, followed by Leeds.
