Lowest daily coronavirus death figure in Yorkshire announced since records began

Six further coronavirus deaths have been confirmed in Yorkshire hospitals, which is the lowest since records began.

The Public Health England (PHE) figures are published daily and reflect the latest reporting period, which is 5pm the day before publication.

On Friday, June 12, PHE recorded '6' new deaths, which is the lowest figure since April 1.

There has been a total of 2,712 Covid-19 deaths in hospitals across the region.

In England, a further 70 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,860.

Patients were aged between 24 and 102 years old.

Three patients (aged between 78 and 102) had no known underlying health conditions.
