On a fundraising page, the team said: "As a club, we are paying tribute to this great organisation by putting ourselves through great physical pain in the hope that this will inspire you to donate money as a result.

"Our task is a simple one (on paper): we are challenging ourselves to travel 1,948km before July 5th, 2020.

"As a team, we will walk, run, cycle, row, and maybe even swim if we have bathtubs big enough, all in aid of NHS Charities Together.

"Every penny we raise will be donated in the hope that we can do our part to assist the NHS in its amazing efforts against coronavirus."

The team have set a target of £5,000.
