Oxford/ AstraZeneca vaccine to be rolled out to GPs from today

Patients in England will start to get Covid-19 vaccines from their GP surgeries today, health officials have confirmed.

It is hoped that more than 700 sites would be delivering vaccines by the end of the week.

The rollout to GP surgeries is a big step forward in bringing the vaccine to the masses in the largest vaccination programme in the history of the NHS.

Icy stretches are likely to form in places leading to slippery conditions and perhaps some disruption to travel.
