Leeds hospitals record zero new coronavirus deaths

UPDATE: For the latest figures click here.Figures released by NHS England on Monday, May 4 record '0' confirmed new deaths in Leeds hospitals.

This data reflects deaths from the latest reporting period which is 5pm on Sunday, May 3.

The current total of Covid-19 related deaths in Leeds hospitals remains at 250, after 26 people died over the weekend.

Across Yorkshire, a further 31 coronavirus deaths have been confirmed in hospitals.

This brings the total number of deaths in hospitals in the region to 1880.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:
