The fall comes as Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced in Monday's Government Coronavirus briefing that 9.2 million people across the UK have been given a jab.

Just this weekend (January 30 and 31), 931,204 people were given a vaccine which is the equivalent to one in every 60 adults in the UK.

He branded this a 'mammoth effort'.

Mr Hancock also added that almost nine in 10 of all over 80s in the UK had been given a vaccine, and that as of today, so had over half of all people in their 70s.
