First West Yorkshire has implemented a range of measures at its depots to help protect staff and customers, the spokesman said.

He added: "This includes compulsory use of sanitising stations at all entrances and exits, enhanced daily cleaning of offices and engineering departments using a long-lasting sanitiser, social distancing and wearing of PPE in designated work areas and when moving around the depot.

"Buses undergo the same daily cleaning regime in the depot and at service breaks and interchanges during the day, which includes disinfecting all touchpoints throughout the vehicle.

"Plastic screens separate drivers from passengers and customers are encouraged to pay by contactless, where possible.
