The Leeds areas with the fewest Covid cases in 2020 as city prepares for Tier 3

The Covid infection rate is falling across Leeds, despite the city being placed in Tier 3 from Wednesday.

Most Leeds areas have seen a drop in cases in the last week, with the average rate of infection now down to 296 new cases per 100,000 people. Government data has tracked the number of cases in every Middle Super Output Area of Leeds - a geographic measurement of around 7,200 people - from the start of the pandemic. Three Leeds neighbourhoods, Hyde Park, University & Little Woodhouse and Hyde Park Corner & Woodhouse Cliff, have had more than 1,000 cases since March, but other areas have been less-affected by outbreaks. These are the Leeds areas with the lowest total number of cases recorded in 2020. The figures are correct as of November 18, the latest available data, and all images are for illustrative purposes.
