Across the UK, there has been a 79 per cent rise in one week in cases of the Delta variant first identified in India. The increase across the UK is being driven by younger age groups, many of whom have now been invited for a vaccination as the jab rollout extends to anyone aged 18 and over.

Headingley recorded 63 cases, that’s a rate of 661.8. It’s up 117.2% from the previous week.

Burley recorded 45 cases, that’s a rate of 513.9. It’s up 114.3% from the previous week.
