There have been four further coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire hospitals, new figures have confirmed.

Public Health England released the latest figures at 2pm on Saturday, July 4.

The new figures confirm that one person died in hospital in Bradford on Thursday, July 2.

One person died in Barnsley hospitals on the same day.

One person died in hospital in Hull on Friday, July 3.

It has now been confirmed that one person died in hospitals under the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust on June 10.

The total number of deaths in the region is 2,844.

There has been 29,025 confirmed coronavirus cases in Yorkshire as of latest figures on Saturday, July 4.

Bradford has confirmed 4,108 cases, Sheffield has confirmed 3,931 cases and Leeds has confirmed 3,588 cases.
