Five new coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire
A total of five further coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Yorkshire.
According to latest statistics, the following trusts recorded new deaths from the virus:
Airedale NHS Foundation Trust: 1
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 3
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 1
The death toll in the country from the virus now stands at 2,984.
NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.
Since Tuesday, April 28, NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
