Five more confirmed coronavirus deaths in Leeds hospitals as Yorkshire figures released

Three of the patients died on Monday, April 6, while two died on Sunday, April 5.

It brings the total number of confirmed coronavirus deaths in Leeds hospitals to 53.

NHS England said a further 758 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died across the country, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 5,655.

Patients were aged between 23 and 102 years old and 29 of the 758 patients (aged between 23 and 99 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

A further 59 coronavirus deaths have been confirmed in Yorkshire hospitals since NHS England's last update, accurate as of 5pm on Monday, April 6.
