Here, we take a look at the eight secondary schools in Leeds to have most recently been given an Ofsted report and rating from inspectors.
7. Southway School
Southway is a school for pupils who have "lost their way" from mainstream education, having either been excluded or having not been attending. Ofsted rated the school as good, adding: "Positive relationships are at the heart of Southway’s approach. The ‘can-do’ attitude of the staff gets most pupils back into the classroom and learning. Many pupils improve their attendance and their attitude. Some pupils get back on track and return to their mainstream school." Photo: Simon Hulme

The school was rated "good" in an inspection report published in May. It added: "Pupils enjoy attending John Jamieson School. Staff are very caring and supportive. Parents and carers appreciate the help staff give to them and their children. Staff understand and support pupils’ individual needs well. Pupils are safe and happy." Photo: google
