New advanced acting class launched for young people in Leeds

The Mill School of Performance is launching a new Advanced Acting Class in January 2025, for 16-18 year-olds to encourage and support local young people to embark on professional acting careers.

The course will be delivered on Thursday evenings at Prime Studios, Leeds. Focussing on Theatre, Tv and Film Acting techniques, this course is intended to develop skills to a high level for those young people who are interested in studying at H.E. level.

The Mill School of Performance launched it's Acting Degree Course, over five years ago in the heart of Leeds City Centre, with a focus on training regional Actors for it's local industry, such as Leeds Playhouse, ITV and Red Ladder Theatre Company amongst others.

Paul Danby, Programme Manager, said: The school is dedicated to delivering the neccessary skills for people to work and sustain careers as professional actors. We train people to work in professional theatre, the games industry, TV and Film. The Mill is a dynamic, friendly and exciting place to train as a professional actor. We're excited to meet the new talent in out local area."
