Leeds Met students polled on name change
STUDENTS at Leeds Metropolitan University are being asked to come up with a new name for the institution.
Staff and students are being consulted via e-mail and Twitter in a bid to find another title.
Jenny Share, secretary and registrar at the university, said: “Last year we engaged in conversations with a significant number of our staff regarding our recent achievements and successes and whether we should explore the possibility of a change of name.
“Following on from these very positive conversations, the Board of Governors has agreed that we should explore this possibility further.”
