Mark Manning, managing director of Manning Stainton, said: “There are thousands of students across our region currently being home schooled due to enforced school closures, but many are struggling because of a lack of equipment and resources.

"We’re really proud to support our local communities and we hope this fund helps those pupils who need it.”

Donations from the fund can be used to finance anything the school deems necessary to enhance the education of pupils, whether that be IT equipment, online resources or subscriptions, stationery and textbooks, or sports equipment

Many of the local sports teams and community events the estate agent usually sponsors or supports are also on hold due to lockdown, so it wanted to divert the money to something that will immediately benefit those struggling due to the Coronavirus crisis.
