Parents, staff and pupils at Horsforth Newlaithes Primary School were celebrating recently following their PTA charity receiving a cash boost of £8,000 from the Morrisons Foundation.

The school is seeing an increasing number of neurodivergent children coming through and aim to move towards a therapeutic approach. The funding from the charitable arm of the supermarket will help the school develop fully therapeutic classrooms and learning spaces which will enable all children to succeed and thus benefit the whole school community.

Andrew Rowney, Deputy Headteacher, said: “A huge thank you to the Morrisons Foundation for this grant. In a time of incredibly tight school budgets and increasing need, it is an absolute godsend and will help us continue to develop our provision for all our children.”
