Wakefield Mum of 3 Transforms Personal Struggle Into National Empire For Women Everywhere

When Rose Gibson looked around her home in Wakefield, juggling three young children and the weight of career guilt, she knew something had to change. Torn between wanting to stay present for her children and the pressure to keep building her professional life, she felt trapped. “I was exhausted and frustrated,” Rose recalls. “Every decision came with guilt, if I stayed at work, I felt I was letting my children down. If I stayed home, I worried about finances and the path I’d sacrificed.” But from that bitterness rose a bold vision: a business built around motherhood, not in spite of it.
What began as a humble local class has become BabyBeats, a national, women led franchise transforming how mums step back into work.
Rose’s concept was simple yet powerful. Movement, connection and support for mums and babies, scheduled in a way that fits into family life. Her first class in Wakefield was just the beginning. Today, franchisees across the UK carry forward her mission.
This October, she is launching her debut book, I’m Fine: The Truth About Becoming a Mum (No One Warned You About) a raw, interactive guide that tackles the unspoken challenges of early motherhood: mum guilt, feeling unseen, identity shifts and the tightrope of doing it all.

More than a book, I’m Fine is a testament to the power of women supporting women. Rose worked exclusively with female run businesses, from her independent publisher Mabel and Stanley and her village neighbour, illustrator Liz Kay, to the many women's stories who shaped the work. Each element echoes the book’s message of connection, honesty and solidarity.
“If someone had told me I’d one day lead a national brand and publish a book that uplifts mothers, I would have laughed,” Rose says. “But I’m here today to prove that you can build a life you don’t have to escape from. You can be there for your children and chase your dreams.”
This is more than a business success story, it’s a message of hope and possibility for mothers across our region. Rose’s journey shows what’s possible when you reshape traditional models to suit modern lives.
For any mum who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or torn, Rose’s story is your reminder that change is possible, that community and support count and that you deserve to create something meaningful without losing yourself.
I’m Fine launches 4th October 2025 on Amazon.
