The rapid progress of the Wellington Place masterplan continues to take shape as developers reveal the next stage – less than a week after celebrating the completion of the third building.

MEPC is working on the detailed design of 4 Wellington Place after beging granted the latest reserve matters planning consent, and aim to a start on site later this year.

The triangular building, designed by Sheppard Robson, will complete the masterplan for this part of the site and provide office, retail and restaurant space.

It is due for completion in 2020 and follows the recent launch of 3 Wellington Place.

It has over 130,000 sq. ft of space and includes stone and bronze panelling and terraces to upper floors facing onto the Lifting Tower.

Paul Pavia, head of development said: “We are now progressing detailed designs for 4 Wellington Place as we’re confident market conditions will be right to get started on this exciting project during the second half of this year. The huge level of interest in 3 Wellington Place has underpinned our views Wellington Place is providing something unique for the businesses in Leeds.”
