Point Blank: popular shooting range bar closes UK locations suddenly - events and bookings cancelled

Nights out have been thrown into chaos, with customers left frustrated after last-minute cancellations 😕

  • UK branches of Point Blank Shooting have suddenly closed
  • All future bookings and events, including happy hours and brunches, have been cancelled
  • The closures were triggered by Manchester landlord entering administration, causing wider business issues
  • Customers and staff describe the news as ‘out of the blue’ and deeply upsetting
  • The company is in liquidation and asking affected customers to stay in contact for updates

Yorkshire punters have been left stunned after a popular bar chain announced the sudden closure of its branches, cancelling all future bookings.

The news comes as a shock to both customers and staff, with events and promotions actively advertised just days ago.

Point Blank Shooting, part of the Point Blank Group, operated locations across the UK, including in Leeds, Manchester, and Newcastle.

It marketed itself as the country’s first simulated shooting range bar and kitchen, allowing visitors to fire replica guns at digital targets while enjoying food and drinks.

The company confirmed late on Tuesday (February 3) that it had entered liquidation, describing the move as “completely unforeseen and beyond our control.”

According to the Point Blank Group, the closure was triggered by the administration of its Manchester landlord, which led to the loss of a key lease and a “serious knock-on effect” across the wider business.

In a statement, the team said: "After seven incredible years of trading, this is a devastating moment for everyone at Point Blank".

The group urged customers with existing bookings to remain patient as it attempts to resolve outstanding issues, though no specific timeline has been offered.

The branch had recently been promoting events including happy hours, bottomless brunch sessions, £10 shooting experiences, and a Superbowl event scheduled for this Sunday (February 8).

Regular visitors and groups who had planned nights out are now facing cancellations and uncertainty.

Local reports from Newcastle describe the closures as happening “out of the blue,” reflecting the surprise felt across the chain’s customer base.

Social media reactions have highlighted frustration, with many noting last-minute cancellations and disruption to planned celebrations.

While the Group works through the liquidation process, affected customers are being asked to keep in contact with the company for updates.
