More than 70 new job roles available at Four Seasons Health Care in Leeds and Yorkshire

Four Seasons Health Care is recruiting non-clinical roles such as providing companionship and entertainment to residents, as well as kitchen and housekeeping roles.

The recruitment drive comes as ongoing restrictions on visitation, excursions and entertainment have prompted the provider to find new ways of ensuring residents remain happy and healthy during trying times.

No care home experience is needed to apply for the new roles.

People with a background in hospitality are particularly encouraged to apply to make use of transferable skills including communication, teamwork, high quality service and multitasking.

In Leeds, the company runs the Green Lane Intermediate Care Centre in New Wortley which offers nursing care, palliative care and intermediate care.

At Green Lane, they are recruiting for:

- One deputy manager.

- One registered nurse.

- One activities lead.

- Two care assistants.

The company also runs In Leeds, the company runs the Green Lane Intermediate Care Centre in New Wortley Harrogate Lodge Care Home in Chapel Allerton which provides dementia and intermediate care.

At Harrogate Lodge they are recruiting for:

- Four registered nurses.

- Nine Care Assistants.

- One activities lead.

Also in West Yorkshire, the company runs the Southfield Court Care Home in Huddersfield, Pellon Care Centre in Halifax, and Hemsworth Park Care Home in Kinsley.

There are also Four Seasons Health Care homes in Harrogate, Goole, Maltby, and Sheffield.

What are the current rules about visiting care homes?

The country is preparing to go into a four-week long lockdown from Thursday, November 5.

This means the Government is asking people to stay at home, except for specific purposes such as work if you cannot work from home, childcare and education and shopping for basic necessities.

The Government website states that: "guidance on care home visits will be published ahead of Thursday."

Under current restrictions, the Government advice is that "for local areas with a high local COVID alert level (high risk or very high risk), visiting should be limited to exceptional circumstances only such as end of life.

"Where visiting is restricted due to the local COVID alert level and if, after an individual assessment of the resident’s circumstances, it is determined that in-person visitation is not appropriate, care homes should support visiting in a virtual manner."
