A ceremony at the Silverstone Circuit in Northampton took place from 6pm-7pm tonight, broadcast live on YouTube, launching Michelin’s 2023 guide for Great Britain and Ireland. The ceremony revealed every restaurant to have been awarded a new Michelin Star, as well as the Green Stars for sustainability and other special awards, including the new Michelin Cocktail Award.
Michael O’Hare’s The Man Behind The Curtain has retained its Michelin star, the only restaurant in Leeds with the status. No new Michelin stars or special awards were awarded to any restaurant in Yorkshire during the 2023 ceremony.
Here is every Leeds restaurant recommended in the Michelin Guide 2023 and what critics had to say about them.

7. Forde
Matt Healy's Forde, in Horsforth, has kept its place in the Michelin Guide after being introduced in December. Critics say: "Experienced chef Matt Healy – a onetime 'MasterChef: The Professionals' contestant – has come home to Horsforth to open this rustic bistro and wine bar. His appealing menu features appetising small plates with Mediterranean influences; two or three per person works well, and there are some well-chosen wines, craft beers and cocktails too." 8. CORA
CORA in Boston Spa is the second of Liz Cottam's restaurants included in the Michelin Guide. Critics say: "A smart village plays host to this lovely modern bistro with a rustic edge. Menus range from a good value weekday à la carte to two tasting menus, and every dish comes with a wine recommendation. Skilfully prepared plates are packed with complementary flavours and textures, and are brought to the table by a bright, breezy team." Photo: Ben Bentley
