The Medical Cannabis Clinics - who opened the site - said the clinic will 'create a lifeline for local patients who have so far struggled to access medical cannabis legally in the UK despite the change in medical cannabis legislation in recent years.'
A recent YouGov poll detailed 1.4m British citizens are resorting to using cannabis illegally in an attempt to treat conditions and symptoms including multiple sclerosis and arthritis.

Speaking on the clinic opening, Jonathan Nadler, Group MD at LYPHE Group says: "The Medical Cannabis Clinics are delighted to be opening a branch in Leeds as we recognise the urgent need for effective therapeutic treatment options for patients suffering from chronic conditions in the area.
"Our doctors are not afraid to exercise their knowledge and expertise to write medical cannabis prescriptions for patients who need it, so we look forward to helping those who previously felt like they had no other treatment options available in Leeds."
