
The chocolate shop, located on Commercial Street, was closed for good on Saturday, January 4.
The famous Thorntons sign has been removed from above the door and the shop has has been stripped bare.
A spokeswoman for the company said the shop "no longer met customer needs."
She said: "Like any retailer, we are continuously reviewing our store estate to ensure we are in the locations that meet our customer needs.

The Thorntons store in the White Rose Shopping Centre remains open.
It is now the only Thorntons store in Leeds.
