Jump Arena Leeds trampoline park closes amid plans to build 160 flats on site in Armley

The social media accounts and website for JumpArena on Redcote Lane - which also had a site in Gateshead - were taken down on Tuesday January 21.

A message on the website stated: "Highland One Ltd ceased trading on the 21st January 2020."

The Facebook page for the trampoline park - which could still be accessed on Tuesday morning - has now been deleted.

On Thursday January 16, plans were submitted to Leeds Council for 'the demolition of existing building and the erection of Circa 160 residential apartments' - with plans also made for a new footbridge over the River Aire.

The plans would see the current Jump Arena facility demolished.

If plans were agreed, 60 one-bed, 84 two-bed and 16 three-bed apartments would be built across five blocks.

A total of 155 car parking spaces would also be provided as part of the proposed plans.

Access to the site would be via the existing two points on Redcote Lane.

A separate pedestrian and cyclist footpath would also be built to run along the bridge entrance - which crosses the River Aire.

Applicant Mr H Albazie (on behalf of Morouj UK Ltd) has submitted the outline planning application.

Comments about the plans can be submitted by Friday February 21, 2020.
