A cult Neapolitan pizzeria that has already won fans including celebrity chef Marco Pierre White is set to open its first Yorkshire restaurant later this month.
Forbici has developed a loyal following since launching its first location in Manchester, thanks to its meticulous approach to pizza-making and a menu that blends classic Italian flavours with inventive regional twists.
The restaurant’s name means “scissors” in Italian, a nod to the traditional Neapolitan method of cutting pizza with scissors rather than a knife.

At the heart of Forbici’s pizzas is its signature “three-generation” Biga dough, a long-fermented starter that produces a light, airy base with the towering crusts typical of authentic, Neapolitan pizza.
The dough is paired with San Marzano tomatoes and imported Italian ingredients to create what the restaurant describes as an uncompromisingly traditional pizza experience.
Now, Forbici has confirmed it will open its new venue in Sheffield’s Millennium Square on Friday, March 27, bringing its distinctive take on pizza to the city centre.
What’s on the menu?
The menu will include well-known favourites like the Marinara and Margherita, alongside house creations like the Provola e Pepe, topped with smoked provola cheese, black pepper and fresh basil.
White-base pizzas are also available, including the Porcini e Tartufo, featuring fior di latte mozzarella, porcini mushrooms and Italian truffle sauce.
Alongside the Italian classics, diners in Sheffield will be offered a Yorkshire-inspired special.
The Orchetta pizza features roasted porchetta, sage and onion stuffing, burnt apple purée, crispy pork crackling, and a drizzle of Henderson’s Relish, the iconic Sheffield condiment.
Those looking for something sweet will also find an unusual option on the menu. The Parkin Pizza, inspired by the traditional Yorkshire ginger cake, is topped with toffee sauce, crumbled parkin and stracciatella ice cream.
Forbici will be open Monday to Saturday from midday until 10pm, and on Sundays from midday until 9pm.
