Enhancing the Audio Experience at Toast Bar: A Premier Sound System Installation in Leeds
In the heart of Leeds, Toast Bar recently underwent a transformative audio upgrade, elevating its sound system to deliver crystal-clear speech, dynamic live performances, and immersive background music
The project, executed by a seasoned installation team, centered on integrating a sophisticated yet flexible system tailored to the bar’s diverse needs. At the core of the upgrade were six Martin Audio X10 Mid/Top speakers, strategically mounted on Powerdrive wall brackets to ensure optimal coverage and dispersion. Paired with two Martin Audio X115 Bass speakers, the setup balances precise mid-range clarity with deep, impactful bass, creating a versatile foundation for both spoken word and musical acts.
To drive the system, four Crown Amplifiers were selected for their reliability and power efficiency, ensuring the speakers operate at peak performance without strain. A DBX 2-way stereo crossover was integrated to fine-tune the signal routing, allowing for seamless separation between mid/top and low-frequency signals. This attention to detail guarantees a clean, distortion-free audio output, even during high-energy events.
The existing Cloud mixer was repurposed to coexist with newly added input plates, expanding the venue’s connectivity. This upgrade enables staff to utilize the Cloud mixer for routine operations while dedicating a new Yamaha mixer for live acts and bands, supported by three Shure SM58S microphones—industry-standard tools for vocal clarity and durability. This dual-mixer approach provides unmatched flexibility for hosting everything from intimate acoustic sets to amplified DJ performances.
A standout feature of the installation is the integration of audio sources from two Sky Boxes and Spotify. By wiring these directly into the system, the bar can effortlessly transition between live broadcasts, curated playlists, and custom mixes, offering patrons a dynamic atmosphere. The inclusion of Spotify, in particular, empowers staff to align the bar’s soundtrack with real-time events, creating a personalized experience for guests.
The result is a state-of-the-art audio infrastructure that prioritizes adaptability without compromising sound quality. Whether hosting live music nights, corporate events, or casual networking, Toast Bar now has the tools to deliver a professional-grade auditory experience.
