Yorkshire firm invests in mobile unit offers secure on-site data destruction to local firms

Based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, with facilities in both London and Glasgow, S2S Group IT Asset Destruction (ITAD) has for the past 30 been providing customers with data destruction services. However, in recent years the demand for specific on-site destruction has grown exponentially. To meet this demand the company has decided to invest and grow in this area.

Working alongside industry leading Ulster Shredders and utilising the latest shredding technology, a purpose-built dual shred mobile unit has been installed into a new 18-tonne vehicle. Using the latest innovations in shredding technology the new unit has the capacity to dispose of both hard and soft media types at high volumes, simultaneously. The vehicle is now fully functional and available to businesses across the country. Configured to all sizes of shred for the physical disposal of every media category type the service complies with IA Standard No5., CNPI, ADISA Standard 8.0 and UK GDPR regulations.

Secure on-site destruction

As businesses around the UK collect and store sensitive data the need for the highest levels of asset destruction becomes increasingly important. The ability therefore to have these items securely disposed of on-site becomes even more important. In the past this process has been complex and inconvenient. However, with dual shred features all media types of media whether that be CD, tape, SSD or HDD can be simultaneously destroyed, at volume far more efficiently.

On-site asset disposal offers customers the added convenience of observable destruction at any location. Often customers are required to witness and sign off asset destruction to meet internal and regulatory requirements. In the past this has meant visiting secure waste processing facilities across the country, with this new mobile unit, however, the process takes place on site and a time and date to suit the customer.
