Shopping in Leeds is going to look very different this month, with all non-essential retailers closed until at least December 2.

The city's largest shopping centres have issued guidance to shoppers buying essential items, as the second national lockdown comes into force.

Trinity Leeds, White Rose Shopping Centre, the Victoria Quarter and Victoria Gate will remain open during lockdown for access to essential stores.

Non-essential retailers are also permitted to open for click-and-collect services only.

A spokesperson for White Rose and Trinity Leeds said: "In line with government guidance, non-essential retailers at White Rose and Trinity Leeds will close this Thursday November 5.

"Essential stores and takeaway food options will continue to be open and we look forward to fully reopening once it is safe to do so."

Victoria Leeds, which manages Victoria Quarter and Victoria Gate, said: "Following the latest update from the Government, from Thursday November 5 Victoria Leeds will be open for click and collect services, restaurants and cafés offering takeaway or delivery and essential services."
