Many people from across the city will be booking tables in their favourite hangouts or hoping to catch some luck with a walk-in to shelter from the rain.
But sadly, the Covid pandemic has seen the end of some much-loved independent and chain venues in Leeds.
Here are nine pubs, clubs and restaurants that won't be reopening today.
7. Oracle
The much loved Oracle closed just before lockdown occurred, on 1 February. Having run for 15 years it was an established part of Leeds nightlife scene. However, now the developer of the Brewery Wharf estate is transforming the building into an office, among other things.
8. Pizza Express
Pizza Express closed the Corn Exchange restaurant on Crown Street and the Horsforth Town Street site in 2020. It part of a nationwide strategy which saw 73 sites permanently shut.
9. Chiquito, White Rose
Chiquito, owned by the Restaurant Group,said last year it would permanently close the majority of its restaurants, including the one in White Rose. The Birstall Centre 27 restaurant remains open.
