Smash burger eatery Big Buns opens second site in Call Lane after Distrikt bar success

Launched by the brothers behind the Falafel Guys, Big Buns opened at Distrikt bar in January - serving smash burgers and loaded fries for delivery.

As delivery sales boomed, Ahmed and Abdalla Ramzy eyed up expansion.

They have now launched a second site in Brooklyn Bar, Call Lane, with an outdoor seating area.

The new venue will welcome in customers from Monday April 26 and will be open seven days a week, from 11am to 10pm.

The burgers are made with 3.5oz 28 day dry-aged smash patties, stacked with toppings including American cheese, dill pickle, housemade BB burger sauce and crispy shallots.

Vegetarian and vegan options are available with Falafel Guys falafel patties.

Ahmed said: "Even during the most challenging times we have managed to swim not sink and we saw this as an opportunity to grow.

"We wouldn’t be able to achieve this without all the support from our customers and very committed staff.

"The engagement we get from our customers on our social media is amazing and we are very grateful for each of our followers’.

"We felt Brooklyn Bar and Call Lane is the perfect location. Call Lane is the city centre's favourite place, it has plenty of outdoor seating too. We can’t wait to welcome our new and existing customers.’’

Abdalla added: "We've been doing very well and we have been given an opportunity to expand, we couldn’t miss out. We are extremely excited and thankful for our amazing customers and everyone who believed in us."

Big Buns will serve its smash burgers and loaded fries on Call Lane from Monday and their menu is available on UberEats and Deliveroo.
