New The Range store at The Springs retail park opens in Leeds today

The newest of Leeds’ The Range stores officially opened at 9am today (December 4).

It has brought 40 new full and part-time jobs to the city including store and department managers, warehouse workers and retail assistants.

The new store has a Christmas shop, selling decorations, lights and trees in addition to the home essentials usually stocked by The Range.

The new store is the third one in Leeds, with existing ones located in Birstall and at City South Retail Park.

Devon-based owner and founder of the firm, Chris Dawson, said: “O pening our third store in Leeds this morning was an exciting moment for the company.

"We have chosen many of your favourite products to go into this store and are certain that you won’t be disappointed with your new store.

“I’d like to thank all of the staff for all of their hard work in getting this store ready for the opening this morning, and I am very grateful to the Park Management for welcoming us to The Springs”.

There are opening offers running across departments until December 20.

The Springs store has safety measures in place in line with Government guidelines, including sanitising stations at the entrance, social distancing markers and card payment preferred.

The Range’s opening hours are 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
