The new restaurant, located opposite the Oakwood clock, is open from Wednesday to Sunday at 2pm to 9pm for collection-only takeaways.

The extensive menu allows you to create your own grills, as well as offering hot and cold Mezze and a range of sides and desserts.

Co-owner Vijay Kommaraju said: "We are proud to bring people together in our little gem to have the taste of the ideal authentic feasts from all over the Middle East.

"Bab Tooma is located in the world's oldest city in Damascus in Syria and it is one of the main seven gates that surrounds Damascus.

"It was built by the Greeks and called Venus which is the Goddess of Love and Beauty."

The restaurant owners are advising people to order on their website or over the phone but they will be taking orders at the door with a two-metre distance queuing system.

You can then relax in your car until you are called by phone to come and pick up your food.

The new restaurant is located at 496 Roundhay Road, LS8 2HU in the building which used to be the Nawaab Khan takeaway.

Other Bab Tooma branches can be found on Leeds Road and on Wilton Street in Bradford.
