St Michael's Lane Headingley police incident: Multiple police vans, cars and CSIs in police cordon

At least two police vans, two police cars and Crime Scene Investigators are on the scene in St Michael's Lane in Headingley as of midday on Saturday.

The incident appears to relate to a house or a car which has been placed behind a cordon, with officers standing guard.

It is close to Headingley Stadium's East Stand.

The cordon stretches across the front of a white car parked on the scene.

The incident comes as shops and pubs reopen for the first weekend day of trading since lockdown was eased on Monday, after three months of closures.
