Non-essential retail includes clothing and electronics stores, car showrooms, travel agents, betting shops, auction houses, tailors, car washes, tobacco and vape shops. But some major retailers selling non-essential items are permitted to remain open, as long as they meet the Government's criteria. This includes pharmacies, garden centres, hardware stores, building merchants, car repair and MOT services, bicycle shops, launderettes, pet shops and dry cleaners. These major shops and businesses in Leeds have all confirmed they will remain open:
