Dubbed ‘the most Instagrammable restaurant in Leeds’, Mumtaz boasts beautiful decor with a waterfront view over Leeds Dock. It’s a family-run restaurant with plenty of choice on the menu, including butter chicken, lamb samosas, prawn makhani and even an Italian section.
Tharavadu, on Mill Hill, is the only Indian restaurant in Leeds to feature on the Michelin-recommended guide. There’s an extensive menu with colourful Keralan specialities and refined street food. Michelin praised the swift, friendly service and recommended trying the dosas.
4. Manjit's Kitchen
Launched as a home delivery business in 2010 by Leeds local Manjit Kaur and her husband Michael Jameson, their brand of vegetarian Punjabi street food has become a hit. The permanent Kirkstall Road site offers a twist on street food dishes - including paneer tikka, salt and pepper chickpea fries and a vegan chaat burger.
