Jet2 announces direct flights to Iceland from Leeds Bradford Airport

The Leeds-based company will be offering "once in a lifetime" trips directly from the airport for the Winter 21/22 season.

Customers can pick from flight-only or package holiday options, with package options with Jet2CityBreaks available for a £60 per person deposit.

Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include a guided Northern Lights Tour and a choice of 3 or 4-star hotels in central Reykjavik.

In addition, excursions to the Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon and South Shore are also available to purchase.

There will be eight packages available from Leeds Bradford Airport:

4-night weekend trip on November 4 - 8 2021

3-night midweek trip on November 11 - 11 2021

4-night weekend trip on February 17 - 21 2022

Jet2 recently won two awards for how it has handled the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent holiday cancellations.

On Monday, November 2, the Leeds-based company was named a World Travel Leader for its positive response to the pandemic at the annual World Travel Leaders Awards as part of London Travel Week 2020.

According to the judges, this was driven by Jet2holidays’ “positive approach to refunds and cancellations.”

The airline and package holiday company was then presented another award by the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) on Thursday, November 6.

It was rewarded with ‘Best Large Tour Operator’ at a virtual event.

The award recognised "individuals and companies who have responded well to the pandemic."
