Huge Debenhams queues in Leeds city centre for closing down sale on reopening day

There are long queues for Debenhams as the city centre reopens on Monday - with shoppers keen to grab a bargain from the store's closing down sales

Leeds city centre shops have all reopened today (Monday), with shoppers lining up at Debenhams in particular in search of a bargain.

The department store announced it is reopening several shops across Yorkshire for final closing down sales, starting on Monday.

Other shops now open in the city centre include Primark, HMV, Size?, H&M and other clothes stores.

Forecasters are predicting a mixed bag for the grand reopening weather.

Thankfully, it looks as though it's going to stay dry over the next week or so, but temperatures are going to remain around the April average at between 10 - 12 degrees C.
