Harvester, Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery and Toby Carvery have announced that guests will be able to continue to receive a 50% discount on main meals into September.

The three restaurant chains will be keeping the discount until September 9 'to enable families, friends, and even support bubbles, to reunite and enjoy their favourite meals out'.

Speaking about the 50% discount extension, which will be available via the branded apps when ordering a main meal on the specified days, Divisional Director for Harvester, Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery and Toby Carvery, David Gallacher, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with how our loyal guests have come out to support us in August, making the most of a great initiative from the Government.

"Every one of them have really helped our restaurants get back on their feet after such a long period of closure and we’re extremely grateful they’ve chosen to come back and visit us after such a long time away.

“We wanted to say a big thank you to them, and we feel the best way to do that is to continue to keep the great offers coming and allow all our guests to enjoy another 50% off mains, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the start of September. We’re sure our guests will enjoy being able to tuck into the family favourites at Harvester, grab a slice of Stonehouse’s famous pizzas or enjoy everything that the Home of Roast has to offer at Toby Carvery.

“The Eat Out to Help Out scheme was really helpful for the industry and the unwavering support we’ve encountered from our loyal guests has been incredible to see.

"They’re clearly so pleased to get back to their favourite restaurants and enjoy a delicious meal out. Our teams have enjoyed having guests back and can’t wait to see them again in September!”

August saw a busy month for the popular restaurant brands Harvester, Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery and Toby Carvery, with their loyal fans returning in numbers to make the most of the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, the company said.

For more information about the restaurants and to book their place guests can visit each brand’s respective website.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that UK residents who dine out from Monday to Wednesday during August will get a discount worth up to £10 per head.

For example, a meal that costs £20 will be reduced to £10, and a meal for a family of four that comes to £80 will instead cost £40.

Mr Sunak announced that this is a scheme “that has never been tried in the UK before,” telling the Commons that the "moment is unique", alongside calling on policymakers to be "creative".

On 8 July, Mr Sunak said, "To get customers back into restaurants, cafes and pubs, and protect the 1.8 million people who work in them, I can announce today that, for the month of August, we will give everyone in the country an Eat Out to Help Out discount.

“Meals eaten at any participating business will be 50 per cent off up to a maximum discount of £10 per head for everyone, including children.”

The Chancellor notes that with this scheme, the UK can give its support to the hospitality industry, adding “we can all eat out to help out.’

Who is the discount available for?

The discount is available to everyone in the UK and includes children's meals. However, it will not apply to any alcohol that has been ordered to go with your food.

Where will the discount scheme apply?

Any hospitality business that serves meals can sign up to the scheme, including independently run eateries, alongside high street chains. The discount will only apply to meals eaten out, so you will still have to pay full price for your takeaway, even if you order it from a restaurant.

Businesses will need to register with the scheme before they are able to offer the discount and then claim back the money.

The refund will then be transferred into the bank accounts of registered restaurants, cafes and pubs within five working days.
