All bets are back on as a national casino chain announces it will re-open 44 venues - including one in Leeds.

Grosvenor Casino venues in England are planning on opening their doors from Saturday 1 August and that includes the Leeds casino on Westgate.

Since lockdown the chain has been working on a plan to put safety measures in place at its casinos and this includes customers being expected to use hand sanitiser when they enter the building, which will be readily available at dispensers, enhanced cleaning will take place throughout each day, including tables, chips and machines and screens are available at all gaming tables and in between electronic machines. There will also be restrictions on the number of people who can play games at any one time.

Guests will still be able to enjoy food and drink with seating spaced out and can be pre-ordered at their table or from their machine, either using the online app, or ordering with the valet service using disposable table menus.

Former Unified World Cruiserweight and WBA World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, David Haye, features in a new promotional customer journey video highlighting some of the enhanced cleaning and social distancing measures which will be introduced when Grosvenor Casinos venues return.

Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director at Grosvenor Casinos, said: “The health and safety of our customers and team remains our priority. We want to create the best gaming and hospitality experience which guests know and love and a lot of work has gone into ensuring we have the highest standards of hygiene and safety measures in place to do so when we reopen. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers back to Grosvenor Casino clubs across the country very soon.”
