A Leeds man has just driven away in a brand new Audi, after winning a competition which he paid just 99p to enter.

James Jenkinson was the lucky winner of a brand-new Audi A3 straight out of the Leeds Audi showroom after winning the skills-based contest.

James took part in an online competition called All Star Prizes, and out of thousands of correct entries his was the name chosen to drive away in the super new motor.

When Matthew Colley and Simon Johnson, founders of All Star Prizes, called James to break the news live during the draw, he was in a state of shock.

James told them: “I never win anything, it couldn’t have come at a better time.”

James went on to explain he had been going through a difficult time after the recent illness of one of his children.

James and his partner were invited to Leeds Audi and given the five-star treatment by John Hove, one of the sales executives at Audi Leeds.

But James only knew exactly what he’d won when the Audi staff removed the cloth hiding the vehicle – to reveal the shiny new Audi A3.

Who are All Star Prizes?

All Star Prizes is a Leeds-based competition site that gives people the chance to win prizes such as cars, cash and electronics, with competition entry costs starting at just 99p.

The business began in the bedroom of Matthew’s flat. A former Royal Dragoon Guards Army Regiment solder, Matthew’s life had hit a rough patch and he found himself homeless after going through a separation.

But, once he’d secured a flat he began to build the business – his first ever prize at All Star was £50 worth of Easter Eggs. He says they have now given away over £2,000,000 in prizes.

But it’s not just the prize-winners who benefit. All Star also helps change thousands of lives around Yorkshire.

All Star Prizes has worked extensively in the Leeds local community helping worthy causes – such as donating six Apple iPad’s to Ward 31 Children’s Oncology at Christmas in partnership with Candlelighters, supplying £2,000 of furniture to the Getaway Girls DIY SOS Big Build, giving £2,500 to Penny Field School memorial garden for six children who sadly passed away and supporting multiple families around Yorkshire going through cancer treatment with their children.

How does it work?

All competitions are skills-based – once you decide which competition to enter you pay the entry fee and answer the question to be in with a chance of winning. There is also a lucky dip option to enter random draws – but you’ll always have to answer a skill-based question.
